Mariori Macouzet

This post is about my story

I always wanted to be a Fashion Designer. I used to fall asleep dreaming about it since I was a kid. Then I started designing dresses for my dolls. Then I made tie dye bags for my friends for Valentine’s Day. I learned about fabrics, sewing, jewelry, plushies even, and I started making my own drawings at the age of 6. As you can see it was the 90’s! So adorable.

As time passed by I moved forward towards to what I was seeing in every fashion magazine, and I learned to draw better of course! But honestly, I had no idea what it meant, until now that I realize how much I wanted to be a fashion designer.

These must be around 2000 – 2004

And these were way long into 2006 – 2009

I had trouble drawing shoes, still do!

This was last year. Looks like a self portrait.

Since then, I’ve been trying to make my dream of being a true fashion designer come true. I used to collect all the fashion ads that were the most mesmerizing to me.

I also made all my prom dresses. This is one of them, I had cuffs made of tulle, must of lost them. God I was skinny!

It is my passion. It is my biggest dream. I’m an artist, and I want it to be all over fabrics, and accessories, and everything you can wear and makes you feel invincible. Although I must confess, I’m not educated in fashion design, but I am learning, and I simply can’t get enough. This page, this blog started with this idea, which I started only a year ago. Now I am stepping forward to create my own brand. I am starting with a line of accessories that represent mostly, the essence of my personality. I’ve always been too colorful, too Mexican, perhaps. And I love it. The best feeling in the world is to see an idea you had in your mind completed in something you can touch and see, and even better, wear. I quit my job so I could dedicate fully to this passion.

Today I present to you a mix of textures and oversized elements in bracelets, earrings, rings, and more. I like statement pieces, and I am also influenced by today’s spring trend, with many beachy styles. Most of them are made with clay that I made and painted myself. There are also stones, and natural beads. It is not yet a collection, but it’s my first step closer to my dream and for that I feel very proud and happy. I hope I can communicate that through my designs.

The best part is always the process.

I am actually crying right now (happy tears).

If you are reading this, thank you for being part of my dream ❤

Please enjoy!
